You Picked What to Automate. Here's What Happens Next.

You've picked a task your team repeats all the time. Good. Now someone needs to explain what actually happens when the neat version of the process meets a real Tuesday.

1. Show us the work

We start with the person who does the task. What comes in? What gets checked? Where does the result go? What happens when a field is missing, a customer asks for something unusual or the system is down?

You do not need to write a technical specification. A few real examples, including the messy ones, are more useful than a perfect flowchart.

2. Agree on the scope and price

We map out what will be automated, what still needs a person and what access the build needs. You see the scope, price, timing and support options before you commit. A simple workflow could be running within a month. A custom app can take several months and cost several thousand dollars.

3. Build it and try to break it

The first working version gets tested against real examples. Your team checks the output, points out what we missed and tells us where the process works differently in practice. We fix those cases before calling it done.

4. Sign off and keep an eye on it

Once you're happy with the finished build, you sign off and the remaining balance is billed. At first, have someone check the results closely. After it has proved itself, you can review exceptions instead of doing every step by hand.

The point is to hand off the repetitive part without losing control of the result. See projects we've built and what they cost.
